AMPS: Hartke VX3500 Bass Combo Amplifier

It 's not the most beautiful amp you've seen, for sure. But it does the job more than good.

I've played on it 3 times, and it's hypnotic. Take my word on that.
Huge range of variety in tones. Very effective EQ and can also be turned off . The choice between solid state and tubes, and the ability to mix them gives you the exact tone you want. You can fine tune it anyway you like.

Powerful, but also heavy :) But the best part is the price - cheap, when you compare the price with quality.
