CB Bass Guitars
Here is another great Bass Guitar. The owner says:
''My drive to make the best basses anywhere comes from being a bass player myself. From the design and construction methods, to the set-up and the finish that is applied. Every step is taken to make the best sounding and most comfortable basses possible. All in all it is my opinion that the attention to the smallest details makes a difference in an instrument. The way it sounds, feels, plays, and to ensure that it will last a lifetime.''

Jackson Bass Guitars
Jackson is a guitar manufacturer originally owned and operated by Grover Jackson, a partner of Wayne Charvel of Charvel Guitar Repair. It started with the creation of the "Rhoads" V model guitar, originally designed and used by guitarist Randy Rhoads. Grover put his name on the Rhoads rather than the Charvel name because he felt the design was too shocking for Charvel's regular customers. This model inspired Grover to start the Jackson guitar company.
Jackson Guitars has become known for its slender and elegant models, often with an aggressive look popular with harder rock and metal music.
Almost all Jackson (and many Charvel) guitars share the typical Gibson Explorer-like pointy drooped headstocks, originally designed by Randy Rhoads.[citation needed] Various models feature a reversed pointy headstock with the tip pointing upwards. Another trademark are their so called "shark fin" fret inlays
Charvel/Jackson was the target of many copyright lawsuits from Fender which ended the use of Stratocaster styled headstocks for Jackson and Charvel guitars until recently.

Spector Bass Guitars
Electric bass guitars designed by Ned Steinberger and built by Stuart Spector Designs in Saugerties New York, Europe, and around the world including 4 string, 5 string, and 6 string instruments.
Inspiration comes in many forms. For Stuart Spector, it was a banjo. "One day in 1974 I was sitting in my friend Mike Kropp’s apartment," recalls Spector. "Mike is a fabulous banjo player, and he was playing a pre-war Gibson ‘hearts & flowers’ Mastertone flathead banjo. I’m listening to him play and thinking, Wow, that’s a beautiful banjo. And Mike says, ‘It’s not the original neck—it’s a reproduction made by my college friend, Kix Stewart.’ Mike tells me that Kix—who’s now the Stewart of Stewart-MacDonald’s Guitar Shop Supply—had made the neck in about a week and spray-painted it in his bathroom. I heard this story and thought, Well, if he can do that, I can make a guitar or a bass."
Today, Stuart makes eight to ten Spector neck-through basses a month in his shop near Woodstock, New York, and he also offers production instruments built under contract in the Czech Republic, Korea, and China. ("We’re our own little mom-and-pop multinational corporation," he says with a chuckle.)
Spector Legend 4:
- special set-neck design
- quilted maple or figured bubinga tops with 3 ply rock maple neck and 24 fret rosewood fingerboard
- original NS curved body style with deluxe cast gold bridge and hardware
- high impedance, passive, USA EMG-HZ pickups with 3 band EMG active tone circuit
- naturall matte finish
- bubinga top
Artists playing on Spector:
Mike Kroeger (Nickelback), Robbie Merill (Godsmack) , Dennis Pepa (Death Angel), Chuck Rainey, Leigh Fox (Blondie), Aaron Julison (Kid Rock), Rex Brown (Pantera), Rachel Bolan (Skid Row), Mike Inez (Alice in Chains), Ian Hill (Judas Priest), Traa Daniels (P.O.D.), Alex Webster (Cannibal Corpse)....

Höfner Bass Guitars
Karl Höfner GmbH & Co. KG is a German manufacturer of musical instruments, with one division that manufactures guitars and basses, and another that manufactures string instruments.
A Hofner bass is said to create a woody, smooth sound that is reminiscent of an orchestral double bass, or bass violin. Since the original Hofners are in great demand, but short supply, the company has begun to reissue them. The violin shaped basses are available in several different models, which range in price from around $2000 to $4000.
If you get a chance to purchase an original vintage Hofner bass guitar or guitar, the number of the model will indicate how fancy the instrument was. The higher the number, the better the quality. The numbers in the '50s ranged from 449 to 470. Smaller and thinner guitars were the rule as the '60s progressed.
The company became famous becauseof The Beatles bassist Paul McCartney, who used their left-handed 1962 500/1 model. Today it is known as the "Beatle Bass" or "Cavern Bass".
